As much as we love winter in North Carolina, we always find ourselves looking ahead with anticipation to spring each year, don’t we? Spring festivals around the state provide the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy the gentle warmth of the sun and there’s one upcoming event that is sure to be a big dill… the North Carolina Pickle Festival!
Now in its 34th year and held each spring in the pickle capital of North Carolina (Mt. Olive, of course), the 'dill' with this unique festival is that it's guaranteed to be loads of fun for the entire family.
Pickle lovers, especially, will find this festival among the most delicious things they'll do all year. And, aside from the many pickles you'll consume... there will be plenty of pickle swag to pick up from the many vendor booths.
Also be sure to seek out the Mount Olive Artisan Village for some delicious food and to shop from the many vendors who (usually) bring pickle-inspired hand-crafted items.

Whatever you do, be sure to come hungry for pickles — and more. The festival always features lots of wonderful food that pairs perfectly with pickles. In addition to food (and pickles), you'll also enjoy live music and entertainment taking place on multiples stages all day Saturday.
The North Carolina Pickle Festival takes place April 24-25, 2020, in Mt. Olive, North Carolina. The hours are Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and all day Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. Find more festival info on the event’s official website, and follow the Facebook page here.
