Thank goodness for the town of Marion, an instrumental part of keeping the regional delicacy alive – in more ways than one. For twelve years in a row now, Marion has been home to one of the state’s two Liver Mush Festivals and it’s almost time for 2018’s event.
Marion's 12th Annual Liver Mush Festival is set for Saturday, June 2nd in downtown Marion and if you've never attended, then you don't know what you're missing!
First and foremost, the event's sponsor, Hunter's Liver Mush has FREE Liver Mush sandwiches for the whole crowd. Yep. Free. But once you've sampled the goods, there are plenty more reasons to hang around for the rest of the evening.
What's more, the annual celebration includes inflatables for the kiddos, plus arts and crafts vendor booths for everyone to enjoy. But the real show stopper involves everyone's favorite delicacy... and
... a whole slew of hungry contestants willing to eat as much Liver Mush as it takes to bring home to annual trophy in the Liver Mush eating contest. Wow!
