There’s nothing in the world like an old-school diner where you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. Here’s a little diner in Siler City that has delicious food and friendly service; you’ll want to visit this place asap.
Johnson's Drive In is a North Carolina icon. It opened in 1946, and has been serving up the best burgers in the state ever since. You'll find it at 1520 E. 11th St., Siler City, NC 27344.
From the moment you walk in the door, you'll feel right at home. This place isn't fancy, but it's cozy and warm. It's often busy during the lunch rush.
You're likely to find the owner working the grill, and if for some reason he's not there, one of his grandsons might be. This place is a family affair, and those who aren't actually related are like family, because they've been here for a long time.
The menu is basic, but it's got everything you're looking for: juicy burgers, hot dogs, and fries. Bring cash - Johnson's Drive In doesn't take credit cards.
The beef for the burgers is ground right onsite, then hand-pressed. It's a far cry from the pre-made, pre-formed burgers you get at a chain restaurant.
Follow Johnson’s Drive in on its Facebook page to keep up with all that latest happening. Have you dined at Johnson’s Drive In? We’d love to hear what you thought!
