What do all Hallmark Movies have in common? Well let’s see… there’s the obvious: happy endings. And then, there is always a fantastic little town and almost always a family that comes together to overcome all and create warm and fuzzy memories. All of this, and more, is what you’ll find at an annual event in North Carolina that’s ripped from scene after scene of a Hallmark Movie.
Our hallmark adventure takes place this season in a tiny town in the Tar Heel State. So tiny, fewer than 120 people call this locale home.
If you haven't been to Chimney Rock Village in a while, or never at all, then this weekend and next (December 4 and December 11, 2021) are the times to go!
It's here that the Hallmark magic takes place, both up on the town's namesake and down in the village, itself, too. The enormous, 315-foot chimney-shaped rock is a show-stopper. A must see.
And on these two Hallmark Saturdays in December (Dec. 4 and 11), you'll see something incredibly fun: Santa... practicing for all of those chimney dives he'll be taking in a few short weeks!
Watch as Santa practices on one of the world's largest chimneys. He'll take four practice runs down the chimney each day. Times are 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.
Watch in awe and cheer on Old Saint Nick as he and an elf or two rappel down the entire 315-foot 'chimney'.
And don't forget to bring your letters for Santa. He's right here. Give 'em to him in person, or leave them in the special delivery box for Santa to read later.
Breakfast with elves takes place at the Old Rock Cafe, which is literally located right next door to the entrance to Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park.
Warm up and fill up with delicious food served by Santa's elves before heading up to the Rock to watch Santa make his big descent.
You're sure to leave full, satisfied... and ready for that Hallmark Movie happy ending up on the rock as you watch Santa climb down the rock and take part in the other festivities.
What a fun way to celebrate the season with loved ones! By the way, this Hallmark movie style event is in no way connected with the Hallmark Channel… unless you count the happy ending, the family fun, and the wonderful story you’ll have to tell about your day for years and years to come.
Learn more about Santa’s big climb down the chimney, cost of admission into Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park, and more with a visit to the park’s website here. You’ll also find more information here about the Breakfast with Elves, including a menu and menu prices.
Breakfast with Elves takes place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Santa will repel down the chimney at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.
Will you be heading over to Chimney Rock Village this year for this fun event??
