The trailhead is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Beech Gap, not far from Brevard.
In total, the adventure is 4.3 miles (nearly 2.2 miles, each way) and has such a slight climb you'll hardly notice the effort. (The overall elevation gain is a little more than 500 feet.)
Expect a few unconventional bridges and other built-in ways to keep your feet dry and out of the mud. You'll meander through a variety of surrounds on this trail in the Pisgah Forest.
