North Carolina is lucky to have a number of places across the state where you can board a real train and take a ride. But there is only one recreational train that has its own Wild West theme park. And there is only one train (the SAME train) that each Halloween morphs into Jekyll and Hyde personas showcasing two very different railfanning experiences: there is the “good” train during the day and the “evil” train at night.
Welcome to Tweetsie! Now through October 30, 2021, each Friday and Saturday night everyone's favorite, family-friendly Wild West theme park to visit BY DAY morphs into the Ghost Train.
Travel three miles into the darkest haunts of the Tweetsie rail line. Because of the nature of this ride, it's best suited for visitors who are at least eight years of age.

But the train isn't the only thing that transforms into the evil Hyde during Halloween season. On Ghost Train nights (every Friday and Saturday night through October 30th), the entire park turns into a Halloween lover's dream.
Come dressed to the nines in your Halloween costume and prepare to have a blast. The streets are oozing with ghoulish fun suitable for all ages. Enjoy love performances, dance, dine, and enjoy the activity.

For the youngest members of the family, the theme park opens up The Boneyard on Ghost Train nights. And over at the Tweetsie Palace Spooktacular, take in an awesome black light puppet shot.
Last but not least for the whole family to enjoy... the Creepy Carnival and its rides are strung with lights and ready to make you squeal with every twist and turn on the rides.
And if the Haunted House isn't enough to make your hair stand on end, then head over to the Freaky Forest and take a haunted hike! (Again, best suited for those age eight and over.)
It's hard to believe it's already (almost) October! Go ahead and start making plans (translation: get tickets!) now to hit up the Ghost Train for some spooktacular fun this season!
The hours for Ghost Train this year are every Friday and Saturday night (starting September 24) from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. If you have daytime tickets for Tweetsie, you’ll need to purchase separate tickets for this special nighttime event.
Entry times are set in advance to allow for fewer bottlenecks at the gate. Ticket prices for Ghost Train nights are: $44 for ages 13 and up and $38 for ages 3-12. Learn more and purchase tickets online at this link on the Tweetsie Railroad website.
