Food cravings are hard to ignore – and that certainly includes Mexican food. But it goes beyond that. For some, when planning a trip to a place we’ve been before, we start to crave the food from a favorite restaurant in that destination long before we get to satisfy those cravings. Such is the case when you’re heading to Wilmington or any nearby beach town and the enormously popular burrito joint known as Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn.
Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn in Wilmington is located at 4002 Oleander Drive, where it has been doling out delicious food since 2000.
Although only to-go, touchless, curbside pickup is currently available at Flaming Amy's, we are so looking forward to the day when we can once again enjoy the kitschy decor this fun eatery is also known for.
The burrito barn has 20 burritos on the menu. It may, however, be difficult to narrow it down to just one. The one common thread among them all? They're huge!
If you starve yourself for a couple of days ahead of time, you might be able to finish the Double Bypass. It's loaded with all the fixin's, plus double meat, double cheese, and double sour cream. Yeooww.
Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn also has nacho platters, salads, soft tacos, and a build-you-own burrito option if you don't see one you're craving on the huge menu of specialty burritos.
And don't think this hot spot for dining is without an official and extensive assortment of hot sauces (and more) to take the experience to the next level.
Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn in Wilmington is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for take out meals. There's also an app to make ordering online that much easier.
