1. Southport Fourth of July Festival
Dating back to 1972 (and some say 1795), the festival hosts daytime parades, events, and nighttime fireworks. It's dubbed as the state's Fourth of July Festival.
2. Carowinds
The dramatic firework show at Carowinds is one of the best you'll catch in the state. Bring the kiddos for a day of rides and fun. Then, end the day with a bang!
3. Asheville
Asheville has some pretty impressive fireworks! Gather around Pack Square Park for live music and sit back and watch the firework show at 9:30. The fireworks are visible from any of the surrounding areas or mountain peaks.
4. Raleigh
At the State Fair Grounds you'll find food, fun, and fireworks! Gates open at 2:30, activities start around 3, and fireworks are at 9:15
5. Tweetsie Railroad Fireworks
A beloved family event, your kids will love the fireworks at Tweetsie. The park is open until 9PM, and after it closes a fireworks show will begin at 9:30.
6. Wilmington
This 4th of July celebration kicks off with food and live music along Water Street at 5PM. The fireworks begin at 9:05PM.
7. U.S National Whitewater Center
This year's festival lasts two whole days! Live music starts on the 3rd. The 4th has a cornhole tournament, more live music, and is capped off by an awesome firework show! If you want some great music to jam out to, some good beer to drink, and a great view...check this one out!
