The 4th of July is a beloved American holiday. Grilling out, or on the beach, maybe catch a concert…and as soon as it’s dark, watch some fireworks. If you’re looking to celebrate our nation’s independence with a bang, check out these seven great firework shows in North Carolina!
Dating back to 1972 (and some say 1795), the festival hosts daytime parades, events, and nighttime fireworks. It's dubbed as the state's Fourth of July Festival.
The dramatic firework show at Carowinds is one of the best you'll catch in the state. Bring the kiddos for a day of rides and fun. Then, end the day with a bang!

Asheville has some pretty impressive fireworks! Gather around Pack Square Park for live music and sit back and watch the firework show at 9:30. The fireworks are visible from any of the surrounding areas or mountain peaks.
