The park features some especially moving replicas, including the golgotha, a replica of the stone-faced hill in Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified. Each Easter, the park hosts a Easter celebration that includes special moments at this sacred spot on the property.
Visitors can plan to spend at least two hours exploring this free bible theme park carved into the valley with many moving attractions that travel up the hills. Many people find some reflective moments throughout that park and leave feeling especially blessed to have visited.
It's easy to consider spending an entire day at this little-known shrine in North Carolina. The park is home to a small cafe as well as a gift shop. Visitors can feel free to stay for lunch and eat it in the peaceful picnic area while still in view of many of the park's mammoth features.
Fields of the Wood is open every day. The hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The cafe and gift shop may have slightly different hours.
