Located in Lake Johnson Park in Raleigh, this lovely walk is essential for bringing some tranquility to our day. What could be more recuperative than a wooded forest with a peaceful lake, and a plentiful variety of beautiful birds?

It includes a 3.5-mile paved greenway loop, a 1.9-mile unpaved loop, and another 1 mile of out-and-backs to scenic lake overlooks. The paved portion leads us along the lake, through the woods, and across the dam.

Follow the signs for the scenic overlook, and you'll see the trailhead on the right.
