Appalachian Fossil Museum Is A Dinosaur Themed Attraction In North Carolina

Dinosaur attractions are among the most popular for kids between the ages and two and six – and can have a distinct benefit in the developing brain of kids in this age group, according to a report by CNN. But that doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t garner a benefit also. When you find a wonderful, educational, and entertaining dinosaur exhibit, everyone in the family is sure to love it. On that note, there’s a dinosaur-themed museum right here in North Carolina that’s both fun and fascinating.

Welcome to the Appalachian Fossil Museum! Billed as North Carolina's largest private collection of fossils, it showcases dino fossils you aren't likely to find in just any history museum.

Dinosaur heads, the sheer number and assortment of dino fossils here will astound you.

And photos like this one of the littles in your family are some that you'll treasure forever.

And don't forget to enjoy the fake dinosaurs, too! It's nice, in a museum filled with fossilized remains to be able to see the full beast, even if it isn't real.

Appalachian Fossil Museum recently moved to a new, expanded location at the entrance to the factory outlet stores in Blowing Rock. Be sure to carve out some time to go shopping after you visit this natural history museum!
