Welcome to the World's Largest Highboy, a giant dresser sculpture built by Sid Lenger, the artist behind both this structure and the World's Largest Chest of Drawers in nearby High Point. The giant structure might be a piece of furniture, but it draws in travelers from all over who want to see every World's Largest object they can find.
The World's Largest Highboy stands tall in front of Furnitureland South, where it was added in 1998 to advertise furniture. Ever since then, this sturdy chest has greeted every shopper who visits.
The skill it took to build all 85 feet of this tall dresser is a feat anyone can appreciate, but historic buildings and Jamestown, North Carolina go hand in hand. Mendenhall Homeplace is a historic 1811 home full of Quaker history. The property has a few beautiful old buildings that are a treat to tour and learn about local history in.
