Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to fly high above everyone else without a care in the world? Do you want to feel the wind rushing past you as you glide above the trees with a bird’s-eye-view? If this sounds like an experience you can’t pass up, then you must get out to the U.S. National Whitewater Center to try one of their amazing zipline courses.
Hawk Tower features the U.S. National Whitewater Center's longest zipline, and its name is a good indication of the spectacular views on this ride.
This zipline is 1,625 feet long and flies over the Whitewater Center's famous man made whitewater river. Zipliners who decide to launch themselves from Hawk Tower will have a great view of the entire Whitewater Center below.
You'll begin your ride from the Hawk Tower once you are firmly secured in a harness and are wearing the appropriate safety gear.
A U.S. National Whitewater Center employee will then clear you for take off and send you flying across the venue.
You'll have an amazing view of the people and rafters below.
You may even get a few waves or thumbs up as you glide over others enjoying the rapids!
It may take some courage to make the jump, but we promise you it's worth it.
You'll fly from platform to platform until you reach Figure 8, the USNWC's ropes course.
If you’re lucky, you may get to catch a beautiful sunset while up in the air
There's nothing more gorgeous than the sun sparkling over the water as it starts to go down.
Once you get your ziplining fix, checkout the ropes course or the Center's climbing platforms.
Canyon Zip is another zipline that offers shorter rides and a more wooded view.
Canyon Zip gives zipliners a 200-foot ride that shoots them through the forest under the canopy.
After catching the view from the air you might want to take a trip down the rapids!
