One of the prettiest views in the city is the one of the Charlotte skyline right as the sun is setting behind the unique buildings that make up our Uptown area. Another great view is the view from BB&T Ballpark as fireworks light up the sky. No matter where you turn, you can easily find an amazing view of our stunning skyline that will take your breath away.
Let us introduce you to our favorite eye-candy Charlotte has to offer and entice you to see what we mean for yourself.
1. A sunset view of the skyline.
There is nothing more gorgeous than a sunset view of the city skyline. When evening nears and the sun starts going down, you can catch glimpses of this amazing view from many different places in the city.
A popular spot for photographers is the bridge that crosses over Independence Freeway. Any given night there will be photographers setting up their cameras and tripods in order to photograph this beautiful view.
Another great place to see this gorgeous backdrop is from the light rail pathway in Southend heading into Uptown. Runners and walkers often pause for a moment to take in the beauty of the sunset and the buildings of our city glimmering against it.
2. A skyline view from the ball park.
You can't beat the view from BB&T Ballpark, the home of the Charlotte Knights Triple-A baseball team. Situated in the center of Charlotte’s Uptown Area, this arena offers breathtaking skyline views of downtown Charlotte and some of the city’s most famous buildings.
Many games end with fireworks. The colorful pyrotechnics against the night sky and lit city buildings creates a brilliant snapshot for ballpark goers and others around the stadium.
3. The view from Romare Bearden Park.
After visiting BB&T Stadium, head over to Romare Bearden Park, which is located directly across the street. This park with a view is a great spot for lunchtime picnics during the week and hosts many cultural and social events throughout the year.
4. The night lights from City Lights at the Méridien.
City Lights is a spectacular rooftop venue located on the 18th floor of the posh Le Méridien hotel.
City Lights boasts some of the best views in Charlotte and they aren’t joking! Offering patrons a menu of craft cocktails and local food favorites, this has become a weekend hot spot and a favorite for those wanting to share food and drinks with a birds-eye view of the Charlotte skyline.
5. The view of the city from Midtown.
Midtown Charlotte, or the Metropolitan Area, has some of the best day time views of the Charlotte Skyline. Visible from the Little Sugar Creek Greenway and many restaurants and shops that take residence in Midtown, this is a great place to catch a glimpse of Uptown's beauty without really trying.
