Buffalo Mercantile Company and Cafe may be in the middle of nowhere, but their pizzas are the center of the universe.
See what we mean? You can almost smell this pizza — it looks THAT good!
This little outpost is located on Buffalo Cove Road somewhere on the outskirts of Lenoir, North Carolina. If that sounds vague, then don't worry, the GPS will guide you. And you'll be so happy when you arrive to find how enchanting the place is.
This country staple has been serving the Buffalo community since 1897. The Cafe was added in the mid 1980s.
And the charming country store... well, that's worth a trip all on its own. With more than 800 items, including gift items, Buffalo Mercantile is an authentic and rare old-timey general store offering wholesome goodness on many levels.
For instance, where else can you find a Shoney's Big Boy statue for selfies?
Or get this close to a bear without getting mauled??
With so many fun items to peruse in the general store, you can place your order in the cafe and then go shopping while you wait.
Or, if it's a beautiful day, just head out back to the patio for some fresh country air.
