You never know what you’ll discover when exploring the back roads in North Carolina. Over in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, way up on one of the mountains that ring the Cataloochee Valley, there’s a Sasquatch that’s nothing short of awesome.
If you love Bigfoot, and even if you don't... the more than 10-foot Bigfoot hiding along a tiny, barely two-lane road is an incredible find.
Imagine taking a little drive up the mountain after exploring the Cataloochee Valley .
You're enjoying the sights, the sounds, the smells of the mountains when...
Boom. There's an enormous Bigfoot statue right on the side of the road!
Because this part of the Cataloochee Valley isn't exactly on the main drag, most people don't even know the statue is here. It's a complete and total surprise.
And at night... Well, let's just say you'll have to look harder to find him.
And when you do, you might think twice about getting out of the car at this time of day for a photo!
But actually, even though Bigfoot is standing at the top of a steep driveway, there is room to pull over and get a keepsake image.
Just remember you're parking at the top of someone's driveway, so don't leave your car there and decide to take a hike if you're blocking the owner in.
