8. Episcopal Church of Incarnation, Highlands
Built in 1896, the Episcopal Church of Incarnation is listed on the national registry of historic places. It displays a gorgeous look at carpenter gothic architecture.
9. Chapel at Bald Head Island
Nestled beneath coastal pines, this gorgeous little chapel is a sought after wedding venue.
10. Church of the Frescoes, West Jefferson
North Carolina native, Ben Long, wanted to give back to his home state. After Vietnam and his seven year apprectianship in Italy, Long displayed his talents on small rural churches in western, NC. The frescoes are painted in the traditional Italian style on wet plaster.
