A strategic position along the waterfront and at the heart of Wilmington's Historic District means the Anne Bonny is always a popular spot with tourists. However, the locals also love the chance to feel the cool breezes from the Cape Fear River brushing their faces while they eat.

Unless the weather isn't cooperating, Anne Bonny's regularly zips open the see-through side enclosures of this covered barge restaurant and opens it up to the elements. You won't get any closer to the Cape Fear while you eat than aboard the Anne Bonny.

The menu is filled with flavorful seafood sensations that are served in heaping fashion. From a grouper sandwich (see above) which is nearly twice the size of the bun, to this shrimp po'boy, you're sure to leave full and satisfied with the food and the service.

A variety of salads are an ideal option. If you like, you can sit right on the edge of this floating restaurant for the best views ever. Other menu items feature seafood baskets, sandwiches (we suggest the Grouper Sandwich above, or the Bonny Burger), appetizers, and frozen cocktails that resemble milkshakes loaded with toppings.

And since you're right on the water, timing your meal to enjoy a spectacular Wilmington sunset over the Cape Fear River is always recommended. The Wilmington waterfront is alluring and beautiful all on its own, and at Anne Bonny's Bar & Grill, you'll have a perfect perch for viewing a golden setting sun and its stunning reflection on the river.

Anne Bonny's Bar & Grill is docked at the end of Dock Street, just one street over from Market Street. Parking in the historic district is not a difficult thing to find. And there is a small self-pay parking lot right by the entrance to the restaurant.
