The Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid was once a private residence. Today, it's an exceptionally beautiful accommodation on the shore of the very famous Mirror Lake, which got its name from the fact that it is usually so still that it perfectly reflects its surroundings.
The View Restaurant is The Mirror Lake Inn's onsite restaurant. The Mirror Lake Inn is one of the most upscale places to stay in Lake Placid, so it makes sense that the area's best restaurant is found inside. This is the lounge area; sip a cocktail or glass of wine while you wait for your table.

The View's risotto fritters are a lovely starter. They are light and crisp and are made with French Brie, herb risotto, panko, and spring onion aïoli and are served with pickled red onion garnish.
When the time comes to order your entree, you might consider The View's signature filet mignon with vegetables, potato purée, and pinot noir demi glacé.
The View chef and staff take great pride in every item served. The pasta is made in-house. The meats are custom cut and aged and sourced from heritage breeds. The View also uses local ingredients whenever possible.
