With modern times moving at a fast pace, it can often be a struggle to find a charming place to dine that offers a quaint or even whimsical dining experience. Throwing you into another world all while you’re still right in the heart of one of our favorite cities, you might be surprised to find out there’s an Alice In Wonderland themed restaurant in New York that’s been hiding right under your nose!
Less than minutes away from some of your favorite Rochester attractions, The Mad Hatter Restaurant & Bakery can be found right on Goodman Street.
More than just a restaurant and bakery, The Mad Hatter offers Traditional British High Tea by reservation Monday through Friday that comes with an endless pot of tea, fresh fruit and petite desserts from the bakery.
Moving from their original location in Webster to their current spot in Rochester back in 2016, The Mad Hatter now accommodates up to 60 people and has over 20 tables available.
The restaurant also offers their enchanting space to those who are interested in hosting birthday parties, bridal showers or other private events here.
If you decide to come here to enjoy breakfast you'll frequently hear people raving about their Eggs Benedict along with other tasty items like their Frittatas and British Scrams.
And their homemade buttermilk pancakes that are as fluffy as a pillow are always a must, coming in a variety of specialty flavors (and colors) like Chocolate Chip, Applewood Bacon and, Cinnamon Glazed. Is anyone else's mouth watering?
With 30 flavors of loose leaf tea, amazing food, bakery items and a wonderfully unexpected atmosphere, there's no reason to hesitate planning a trip to The Mad Hatter Restaurant and Bakery in Rochester!
Another reason why we love dining here so much? You can find some of your favorite local goods here! The Mad Hatter carries Cummings Real Maple Syrup from Palmyra, fruit preserves from Arbor Hill Winery in Naples and even the coffee comes from Evening Star Coffee Roasters in Avon. Did we also mention that everything on their menu is named after something from Alice In Wonderland? The magical adventure never ends when you're here.
