Now that New York’s winter season has arrived and our residents are consistently beginning to see hearty amounts of snow falling, here at Only In New York we’ve begun to share with you all sorts of ways to enjoy the winter while it’s here. Some New Yorkers will choose to partake in seasonal activities like our bumper cars on ice, while others may decide to take things easier by cozying up by a fire in one of our restaurants. If you happen to be looking for an unforgettably adventurous way to pass the time during this time of year, then check out this one winter zipline tour before the season’s over!
Editors note: Unfortunately, New York Zipline Adventures has permanently closed.
Down in New York's Northern Catskill Mountains, all throughout the winter you can find a variety of ways to get out and be adventurous during this season, but one of our favorite adventures to take is right on Hunter Mountain.
While some may visit Hunter Mountain during our coldest months to enjoy an amazing day of skiing and snowboarding, some of us will choose to get high up on the mountains in a whole new way.
After you make your way through the woods and walk across swinging bridges and other treetop obstacles, you'll find yourself at one of the zipline platforms where you'll begin your adventure.
Taking you 600-feet above the ground, you'll soar through the sky at up to 50 miles per hour on the tallest and longest zipline in our state for the ultimate winter outing.
If you're looking to get a bird's eye view of the Empire State's beautiful winter scenery, then book an experience with New York Zipline Adventures at Hunter Mountain before the season passes you by!
