Now’s the perfect time of year to discover a new attraction or delightful destination that will lead you indoors and out of the frigid cold. Giving you a more leisurely way to occupy your time than some of New York’s other winter activities, taking a trip to one of our tea rooms is a refreshing way to spend the afternoon. Taking you back to a simpler time, it’s impossible not to love this one adorable location down in Westchester County.
Right in the local historic district, Downtown Peekskill is where you can find Kathleen's Tea Room on Main Street.
As soon as you walk through the door you'll understand why everyone loves to come here, with every inch of this place filled with character from the ceiling to the floor.
An English-style tea room that has so much to offer, you'll find unique and quaint little teapots everywhere and whimsical decor that you wish you could take home with you.
Kathleen's features roughly 60 different loose teas, with a tasty variety of traditional teas, herbal teas, wellness teas, organic teas, green teas and other flavored teas that you'll enjoy trying out.
One of the things besides tea that Kathleen's has become known for is their Mixed Berry Shortcake. The heavenly dessert is made up of the most delicious scone that you'll ever taste, fresh berries, raspberry sauce and homemade whip cream that melts the moment it makes its way into your mouth.
Making everything from scratch right in the kitchen, this tea room manages to wow everyone who walks through the door with their amazing desserts, sandwiches, soups and salads.
