The One Place In New York Where You're Most Likely To See A UFO

As New Yorkers, we’re used to seeing unusual things more so than others. Up north in the Adirondack Mountains, you’ll find many of us claiming to see Sasquatch himself, wandering around areas like Washington County and specifically the small town of Whitehall. The thing is though, down in the Hudson Valley, quite a few of us witnessed some unusual things happening in the sky in 2018. According to the National UFO Reporting Center, the most comprehensive and up to date UFO information source, there were more than a handful of strange sightings between January and December.
If you’ve ever wondered which area of New York will provide you with the best chance of experiencing a UFO sighting, look no further. Once you read up on what’s been happening in the Hudson Valley, you’ll know exactly where to look!
According to the information gathered by the National UFO Reporting Center, there were at least 11 UFO sightings in New York's Hudson Valley region between January and December of 2018.
The first sighting in the Hudson Valley in 2018 didn’t take long to happen, with a "sphere of light" spotted over the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie on January 12th, 2018 just before 4 p.m. The reported sighting lasted one minute.
The next sighting of the year happened on February 2nd at 4:45 p.m. when a fast-moving oval object was spotted over Pawling. Another sighting also took place on March 24th, when unusual flickering lights were seen in the skies over Bloomingburg in the early hours of the morning.
Apparently the spring time isn’t a popular season for UFO sightings because the next one in the Hudson Valley wouldn’t take place until June 8th, when several orange oval objects were seen floating across the skies over Hudson for more than 90-minutes.
Just over a week later, more orange objects were seen in the night sky over White Plains on June 16th. After this sighting, another three months would yet again pass until the next unusual happening took place in the Hudson Valley.
The only town to make the list twice, on September 15th and 16th, sightings of glowing firey balls of light were reportedly seen above the skies of Middletown, New York. This may be the best town to visit!
It's also worth mentioning that Pine Bush, New York falls within this area too - a small town that's known as the UFO Capital of the East Coast. (You can see Pine Bush on the map above, with a yellow alien logo pin dropped in the town's location.) The town has had both residents and out-of-town visitors alike report strange sightings that date all the way back to the early 1960s.
So what do we think, are aliens plotting to invade the Hudson Valley? Or could there be something in the water that's creating mass hysteria? The world may never know!
Last but not least, let's not forget to share with you the remaining UFO sightings that happened only a few months ago in 2018. On November 12th, a report was made that an aircraft was seen flying over Woodstock - an aircraft that was determined to not be an airplane due to the lack of flashing lights. Just over two weeks later, on November 30th, a large and dark aircraft was seen floating above I-84 below New Paltz.
December 7th, over Westtown a blue star-like object was seen behind an airplane and then followed it from behind before disappearing. Just before the New Year rang in, on December 26th a large disc was seen over I-84 in Fishkill that reportedly had yellow and red blinking lights rotating around its center.
