Ice Castles is an award-winning, awe-inspiring, must-see attraction that happens in five states during the coldest part of the winter. We are so lucky to have one in New York and there's no better place to experience it than on the shores of incredible Lake George.
The company that creates these ice castles has been doing so since 2011. The company's founder, Brent Christiansen, started by making small ice castles in his own yard in Utah with a garden hose. They were such a hit with the neighborhood kids, he decided to take it on the road.
Visiting this icy attraction during the day is wonderful. You'll really be able to see all the details in the structures, which are made by spraying water over a scaffolding.
