- Hidden Waterfall Trail, Belfast, NY: This delightful hidden gem is simply called the Hidden Waterfall Trail. And, you guessed it, there is indeed a hidden waterfall. The trail is around 3.4 miles out and back through the scenic Allen Lake State Forest. Toward the end of the hike you'll discover a small gorge, within that gorge is a cool waterfall that not many people have discovered.
- Taughannock Falls, Trumansburg, NY: Everyone is aware of the majestic Niagara Falls, but Taughannock Falls is actually the tallest free-falling waterfall in New York. At 215 feet it is quite a stunning sight, especially when you see the lush green vegetation and striking gorge walls around it. In Taughannock Falls State Park, take the Gorge Trail about three-quarters of a mile to the falls.
- Carpenter Falls, Skaneateles NY: The Finger Lakes region of New York has plenty of stunning natural wonders.
