Whether you’re shopping for a truly special, hand-made gift, or want to indulge in luxurious hand-made bath products for yourself, you aren’t likely to find what you’re looking for at a big box store. You need to find a locally-owned shop that devotes all its energy to creating the most amazing hand-crafted soaps, using only the highest-quality ingredients. Head to the city of Troy and visit T & J Soaps:
T & J Soaps got its start in 2012. The owner, a former high school art teacher, taught herself how to make homemade soap, and now she offers her hand-made soaps at her cozy little shop. You'll find T & J Soaps at 271 River St., Troy, New York.
This place smells absolutely wonderful! It's filled with hand-crafted soaps, bath products and candles, and you'll want to set aside plenty of time to browse through the different offerings here.
The soap is free of sulfates and paraben, and is tested by friends and family. It's made in small batches, right in the store, and if you drop in at the right moment, you can even see the owner hard at work creating long bars of unique soap.
These soaps aren't just for women - you'll find a nice array of masculine and gender-neutral scents, too. You'll want to bury your nose in this cedarwood soap, with its warm and woodsy smells that will make you feel like you're in the middle of a forest.
...and tons of colorful bath fizzies. All natural colorings from ingredients such as turmeric, parsley, activated bamboo charcoal, and beet roots are used to provide color to all the products at T & J Soaps.
You'll find something for everyone on your gift list at this little shop. This vanilla soap gift set includes a handcrafted cedar soap saver and a hand-crocheted cloth.
If you'd like to treat your skin to the luxury of hand-crafted at an affordable price, visit T & J Soaps. It's open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..
