One of the many reasons why we anticipate the season so much, summers in New York breathe life into our state through warm weather and gorgeous, vibrant colors that are everywhere you turn. Whether you like to watch the sunset from your window or you prefer to get outdoors to enjoy the view, we can’t help but favor soaking in this type of scenic sight from out on the water.
Luckily for New Yorkers, companies like the Lake George Steamboat Company offer a variety of cruises during the summer — with one particular upcoming event high on our radar! During the weekend of June 22nd through the 24th, you’ll want to head up north to enjoy all the fun activities that are surrounding the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival.
Happening at the Charles R. Wood Park that's right near the shores of Lake George, admission to this annual festival will get you a commemorative wine glass that you'll get to fill with all sorts of locally-made beverages and a day full of fun.
But with the festival ending at 6 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday, you may be wondering what else is going on in town that will be able to keep you busy.
That's when you'll want to head on over to Steel Pier in town to hop aboard the Lac du Saint Sacrement for the Adirondack Wine & Food Festival Dinner Cruise!
Beginning to board guests at 5:30 p.m., enjoying this wine-filled cruise is the perfect way to extend your day of fun — just a 5-minute walk from the festival grounds.
The Lac du Saint Sacrement is the Lake George Steamboat Company's largest boat, featuring four decks, plenty of seating and even a dancefloor inside for you to let loose on.
The nearly 200-foot long boat has beautiful upper decks for you to go out onto, giving you panoramic views of the water all while you're breathing in that amazingly crisp mountain air.
For these cruises, there will be tons of locally-made wines, beers, and spirits and a delicious dinner buffet that pairs perfectly with all the drinks you've been enjoying all day and will continue to drink onboard.
With a glass of wine in hand, you'll begin to see the picturesque colors pop through the sky — adding the cherry on top to an already amazing and relaxing day.
While the actual Adirondack Wine & Food Festival is only going on June 23rd and 24th, the festival's Dinner Cruise will still be offered on that Friday the 22nd — a great way to kick off the festival and weekend! The Lac du Saint Sacrement may be the Lake George Steamboat Company's largest boat, but you'll want to buy your tickets for this cruise sooner than later just to be safe.
