1. Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary, Garrison
Located along the Hudson River, this 270-acre tidal marsh can be found in Putnam County. A gorgeous place to spend some time outside with New York's wildlife, the sanctuary is home to some of our most special birds and fish. The trails here are open from 9AM to 6PM, where you can explore around the marsh and take a walk on the 700-foot boardwalk!

2. Coney Island Beach and Boardwalk, Brooklyn
The most populated boardwalk you'll find on our list, Coney Island is never without a crowd! Pictured above you can see some of the boardwalk's biggest attractions like the Wonder Wheel ferris wheel. More reasons why the boardwalk draws in visitors? Other than the beautiful views you'll have of the ocean, the boardwalk is also home to the New York Aquarium, plenty of great places to eat, and of course, the beach.

3. Sunken Forest, Fire Island
One of the most magical places you can visit on Long Island, this spectacular forest is great for anyone to visit if they truly enjoy being outside in nature. The visitor center offers trail guides for you to explore the boardwalk and forest yourself, or you can take a guided tour with a ranger!

4. High Falls Gorge, Wilmington
Possibly the most exciting boardwalk to explore on our list, this Adirondack gem serves as the perfect place to get outside and see one of our many serene attractions. A 22-acre privately owned park, these beautiful walkways will show you four stunning waterfalls and so much more! The walkway even features a glass floor section, allowing you to look straight down...but only if you're brave enough! One of the best parts? Exploring the boardwalks at High Falls Gorge will only take you roughly a half-hour!

5. Pelham Bay Park, New York City
New York City's largest public park, this area is surrounded by the Long Island Sound, stealing your breath away! Featuring a variety of attractions, you'll find yourself double checking that you're actually still in New York City, the gorgeous scenery tends to look like a setting you wouldn't normally find in New York!

6. Rich Lake, Newcomb
Up in the Adirondacks out past Harris Lake, you'll find a scenic boardwalk to explore all around this beautifully remote area. A popular area for fishing and kayaking, you'll enjoy all of the peace and quiet you'll find up in this area of New York.

7. Sunken Meadow State Park, Kings Park
A boardwalk that's just shy of being one mile long, this state park can be found out on Long Island and isn't to be confused with the previously mentioned Sunken Forest. The state park is open year round and should be on everyone's summer bucket list! Besides taking the time to walk along the gorgeous boardwalk, you can also explore nature trails, horseback riding and the beach of course!

8. Empire Fulton Ferry State Park, Brooklyn
An amazing area to explore underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, there's nothing like taking a day to walk along the boardwalk and take in all there is to see in the Big Apple. With an incredible view of the bridge and water, you'll also find Jane's Carousel and plenty of areas for you to lay out and soak up the sun.

9. Sapsucker Woods, Ithaca
