While it may be an area that’s quite secluded from the rest of our state, if you take the time to travel up north to our Thousand Islands region, you’ll find that there are all sorts of New York’s best hidden gems tucked away up here! You’ll certainly be able to find quite the array of attractions, like even the largest go-kart race track in all of the Empire State, but if you’re headed up this way it’s most likely because you’re ready to spend some time by the water. Giving you an isolated oasis that you’ll always remember, see what it’s like to go camping on this one island.
Between both our state parks and our private getways, within the state you can find all sorts of amazing destinations for camping but none are quite like New York's Association Island KOA Campground.
Bringing you all the way up to Jefferson County where you're right in Henderson Bay and only a stone's throw away from both Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, this island is hands-down the most unique campground that you'll find within our Thousand Islands region.
If you don't have your own RV to drive all the way up to Association Island though, don't worry! On the island and within this campground you'll also find a handful of cabins along the waterfront that are available to rent.
Within each watefront cabin, you'll discover amazing views of Henderson Bay, as well as all of the essential ammenities that you'll want to have with you while you're here like bathrooms, kitchens, and extra treats like TV's and more.
Plus, whether your campsite is right on the waterfront or you're more inland on the island, you'll always be just a quick walk away amazing waterfront views and unforgettable sunsets.
Secluded away from the rest of our state, you'll feel like you've entered your own little world once you cross over onto this island campground up north.
