A visit to a winery is always a fun time. The chill atmosphere, small talk, and delicious wines all combine to make such a unique environment. If you’re looking for a truly unusual winery in New York, how about a trip to one that’s located at an alpaca farm? Savage Winery has two tasting room locations in New York, and one is also a working alpaca farm!
Savage's original location in Chaffee is a farm with alpacas, sheep, miniature goats, and chickens.
Please remember this is a working farm and not a petting zoo. Respectfully observing them while you sip your beverages is a great experience!
The winery specializes in sweet wines. There's a variety of selections produced on-location, or you can check out one of their many guest wines from other local winemakers.
For those preferring other forms of alcohol, there are plenty of local beers on tap. You can also get growlers of Savage's tasty hard apple cider, and there are a few spirits available, too.
There's a liquor store and wine store here and you can taste anything before you buy it.
Have you been to either of these gorgeous winery locations? Did you know about the alpaca farm at Savage Winery? Share your experiences in the comments!
