New York’s small towns have been known to be a common place where you can find unusual attractions and sightings, for instance, you’ve probably heard of how the UFO Capital of the East Coast is right here in the town of Pine Bush. This unusual alien-filled town isn’t the only one in the Empire State to hold such a head-turning title though. If you head up north to Washington County, you can actually visit the Bigfoot Sighting Capital of the World! While the town’s Bigfoot Festival may have already passed, there’s still plenty of ways to enjoy this intriguing town, just take a look at this delicious restaurant for instance.
Right along the canal front in Whitehall, visitors of the Bigfoot Sighting Capital of the World can keep their eyes out for the yellow building on North Willaims Street decorated with a noticeable Sasquatch logo outside.
If it wasn't for the quirky logo, visitors of this small town may not realize that this building is the Sasquatch Saloon - a Bigfoot-themed eatery that everyone gets a kick out of.
Paying homage to the fact that the town has become known as a hot spot for Bigfoot sightings over the last 50-years, the Sasquatch Saloon offers more than just a fun theme and ambiance for guests.
Sasquatch Saloon has a menu that's downright delicious and changes with the seasons, giving you something different to look forward to each time you visit.
Out of all their menu items though, the restaurant has earned quite a reputation with their Half-Pound Squatch Burger that’s served on a delicious house-baked artisan roll.
Sasquatch Saloon is located at 16 North Williams Street, Whitehall NY 12887 and is currently open Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. To find out more about the restaurant, check out their Facebook page.
