New York’s Hudson Valley Region has long been an exciting area of our state to explore but throughout the most recent years, this region has become even more intriguing. You’ll find people from all over the Empire State and beyond heading to the Hudson Valley to experience some of the country’s best rock-climbing opportunities, the chance to stay at a magical mountain house, or even just to see all that our small towns have to offer. Bringing you to Dutchess County, keep scrolling to find out why this rural distillery will be your next stop.
Established in the Hudson Valley back in 2013, Taconic Distillery sits on a gorgeous 113-acre property in Stamfordville.
The distillery recycles their used barrels so that they can be used to make bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, through a partnership with the Catskill Mountain Sugar House. Just one of the many fascinating things that you'll learn during your visit here.
Pull up to the bar or lounge in one of the cozy chairs that they have available, and you'll begin to see why everyone raves about this distillery so much.
Using their hand-crafted bourbon, rye whiskeys, and rum to make amazing cocktails, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Saturday you can get a taste of what Taconic Distillery creates here.
While you'll find these amazing whiskeys stocked at my local stores and restaurants, there's nothing quite like experiencing a look at this distillery for yourself.
