Just last month, we were swooning over Penny Lane Cafe out in Western New York – a groovy restaurant that makes you feel like you’ve walked right in the 1960s. If you’re looking to visit an earlier decade though, we’ve got the perfect spot for you to visit out in Oneida County. Taking a page right out of the 1950s, this casual restaurant will make you wish that you arrived in your Oxfords and poodle skirts! Take a look.
A restaurant that's been around for over 10 years on Main Street in the town of Remsen, The Soda Fountain Restaurant is a special restaurant that's hiding in plain sight.
The Soda Fountain has everything you'll need to be taken back to your favorite retro era, with red and silver accents all throughout the restaurant - and yes, even a real jukebox!
The staff at The Soda Fountain also like to get into the swing of things, wearing whimsical uniforms and attire you'd expect to see worn during the 1950s in America.
Now onto the good stuff, their tasty food. For starters, they have deep fried mac and cheese bites, loaded nachos, mozzarella sticks, loaded fries, and things like corn fritters.
Again, now back to the food. The Soda Fountain's main menu has become a hit with things like their 1/3-pound burgers that come in all sorts of delicious varieties.
There's also plenty of other lunch and dinner menu favorites, like their sandwiches, fish fry dinners, garbage plates, meatloaf, tacos, and other savory, filling dishes.
It's hard to deny how wonderful of time you'll have here at The Soda Fountain, where records hang from the ceilings and electrifying decor makes up the space inside this charming restaurant.
