When it comes to enjoying a meal, most of us almost always compare everyone else’s cooking to our grandmothers. No matter what state you’re from, it feels nearly impossible to find a restaurant that serves food anywhere near as good as what the matriarch’s of our families can whip up in the kitchen. In the past we’ve suggested checking out some of our best diners that will make you feel right at home, but now it’s time for you take a trip to this one restaurant in New York that has the perfect touch.
What may seem like just another restaurant in New York to those who are observing from the outside, this place is far from your average dining establishment.
Taking hold of your senses as soon as you get anywhere near this place, the delicious aroma coming from Enoteca Maria will quickly have your stomach rumbling.
Founded by New Yorker Joe Scaravella, the restaurant originally featured Italian grandmothers as a way to pay homage to Scaravella's roots and beloved female family members.
From Ecuador to Syria and Bangladesh to Argentina, you can now find Nonnas from all over the world creating home-cooked meals at this incredible restaurant.

Those who come to dine at this special location love the personal touches that comes with feasting on a meal created by one of the restaurant's Nonnas.
With more Nonnas joining the restaurant that have roots from all over the world, Enoteca Maria's has expanded their menu and features different options each night depending on which Nonna is cooking that day!
The restaurant keeps an Italian-based menu at all times for visitors to enjoy, with a second menu available that features food from whatever Nonna of the World is cooking that night. This gives each of the Nonnas the opportunity to showcase their culture and roots through their mind-blowing dishes. Amazing, right?
While you could always dabble in a Russian Roulette of sorts and choose not to find out who's cooking for the day, those who want to know which Nonna is preparing the second menu can click here to find out.
