When discussing the idea of UFOs there are generally two types of the people, the ones who will always have a rational reason to explain what it is you saw and the ones who are firm believers, determined to get the truth out there. If you find yourself falling in the former category, be ready to have your minds blown. While it’s easy to discredit a photo-shopped picture or wacky tale of an abduction, would you really be able to believe that an entire small town in New York has lost its mind?
Now known for being the East Coast UFO Capital, Pine Bush, New York has been experiencing strange behavior since the early 1960s!
Located between the towns of Crawford and Shawangunk, Pine Bush has a population of under two thousand people and is very small. For years people in the area never spoke of the strange things they would see and experience, fearing it was simply a figment of their imagination or something worse. Almost anyone you speak to who has been a resident of Pine Bush or one of the surrounding towns will tell you they've seen things like triangular and cigar shaped UFOs, crafts above their houses flooding lights down upon them and even strange alien-like shapes caught on film.
It wasn't until UFO Researcher and Author Ellen Crystall wrote her book Silent Invasion in the 1990s, that the town finally felt comfortable to come forward with all of the unusual things they had seen and experienced.
Crystall claimed to have studied the area for over 10 years and took thousands of pictures of the night sky and the out-of-this-world crafts. Once her book was released, a surge of people began visiting the town in hopes of seeing a UFO.

While the small area of Pine Bush has experienced the majority of these UFO sightings, surrounding towns like Montgomery and Walden are also said to have seen some unusual things as well.
Over the past 15 years the area has been much more developed, minimizing the amount of sightings since the 80s and 90s. The wide open fields that were once flooded with visitors and sky-watchers are now filled with new homes and condos. But roads like West Searsville still remain and are known for being popular hot spots for viewing UFOs.

Over the years, Pine Bush has come to embrace its paranormal reputation.
A diner opened in the town going by the name of Cup & Saucer, embracing the UFO activity to the absolute fullest. There's even a barber shop filled with UFO items and the man running it has a few stories of his own from the 1960s.

The variety of things this small town has experienced is truly chilling and will make you question what's out in our night skies!
While most people have just seen the UFOs hovering above their tree lines, many have witnessed more up close and personal evidence of something strange. People would speak of a bridge in town that, no matter how much it was painted, the paint would almost immediately peel off. A neighbor of someone who had lights beam down onto their house woke up the next day to find some of his farm animals mysteriously passed away for no reason.
