Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). A great hiking trail in New York should have a variety of attributes to draw you in. Of course, natural beauty is a must, but factors like history and unique terrain certainly add to the appeal. One of the best trails in the Empire State that belongs on anyone’s bucket list is the Overlook Mountain Trail. This trail is moderately difficult, but trust us, it’s worth the effort. Not only is the trail itself a fascinating trip through nature and time, but the end destination is a fire tower that will allow you to see for miles and miles. There’s nothing like a bird’s eye view of New York!
