Fox Run Vineyard In New York Is A Winery, Restaurant, And Market

Something about the old bones of a building that has more than a few stories to tell intrigues us even further into an attraction or restaurant, doesn’t it? What was once a dairy farm in Yates County for over a century, Fox Run Vineyards now grows grapes and has evolved into something so much more.

Overlooking Seneca Lake just 10-minutes outside of Penn Yan, Fox Run Vineyards sits on 50-acres of land that was a long-time dairy farm of the Finger Lakes Region.

Since grapes were first planted on the old farm in 1984, the property's become well-known for producing amazing wines in the Finger Lakes Region.

The farm's old Civil War-era dairy barn has now been converted into Fox Run's tasting room and is the heart of the vineyard.

The old barn's historic charm has been well-preserved even throughout renovations, making for a delightful place to enjoy the vineyard's events.

During the year Fox Run hosts events like their Tasting Blocks Dinner, where you'll get to enjoy a thoughtfully planned out four-course meal with their wines.

Fox Run is also one of the only vineyards in the Finger Lakes to offer tastings and tours all throughout the year, not just seasonally.

When it's warm enough, you'll find outside seating available where you'll have panoramic views of the property.

The outdoor seating also makes for a great place to enjoy the food from the Cafe at Fox Run, using ingredients from their own garden and other local farms to make splendid dishes like their FLX Bison Meat Loaf, FLX Hand-Pulled Bison Tacos, Flatbread Pizzas, and other great options.

And let's not forget that Fox Run also has its own market, where you'll be able to shop around for tasty items to take home with you!

There are also lots of other things to shop around for, like shirts, Finger Lakes-themed merchandise, and of course, wine.
