By now, there’s a good chance that as a New Yorker you’ve already crossed the great Niagara Falls off of your bucket list. With illuminating shows put on nightly at these epic falls, there are certainly plenty of reasons why you should head out West to see this historic state park for yourself. If you’ve already crossed that waterfall off of your bucket list or are looking to stay at the eastern half of the Empire State, then it’s time you check out how this equally epic waterfall is hiding in plain sight in the Capital Region.
Right along the roadside on North Mohawk Street in Cohoes you can find the easily accessible Falls View Park.
After you park in the lot that's directly across the street from the Falls View Park entrance, you'll begin your outdoor adventure by walking over water.
All throughout the park, you'll find informational signs that tell you about the history of Cohoes Falls and the area that surrounds you - leaving you absolutely fascinated.
