For whatever the reason may be, for most of the people that live in the United States, they’re equipped with the ability to spot a New Yorker from a mile away. While you’ll find that our state is made up of handfuls of regions that are all entirely different from one another, there are plenty of things that are residents can come together in unison over – and this list includes most of them! Uniting us together, check out our list of things that you’ll never catch anyone from the state of New York.
1. Worrying about dealing with any of Mother Nature's elements
While other states may not be familiar with what it's like to experience all four seasons, those of us who live in New York aren't afraid of all the different kinds of weather and elements that Mother Nature is always ready to throw at us.
2. Turning down the chance to go for a hike or to chase waterfalls
Something that's simply embeded into our DNA, all New Yorkers are always up for a hike or especially an adventure that involves us chasing waterfalls and other natural wonders!

3. Enjoying anything other than New York-style pizza
Out-of-state friends and family may be used to ordering up just any kind of pizza from whatever restaurant is closest to them, you'll find that New Yorkers are a bit more snobby when it comes to chowing down on pizza pies.

4. Or bagels from any state other than New York for that matter
Try as we may, it simply seems that most of the residents within our state cannot agree on where Upstate New York's boundaries actually begin and end. Sigh.
Try as you may, most of the time when a New Yorker makes the silly decision to move out of state, you'll find that they quickly move on back here. The Empire State will always have our hearts and be our home!
