Not every New Yorker is equipped with their own swimming pool in their backyard, leaving some of us with a variety of ways to decide on how we’re going to stay cool this summer. Some of us will pay a visit to our local public pool while others may take a more carefree route and simply run laps through the sprinkler in our yard. But if you happen to be interesting in going for a dip out in Mother Nature, then you’ll want to gaze your eyes upon these breathtaking natural pools that you have to visit this summer in the Empire State.
1. Peekamoose Blue Hole - Denning
As of June 30th, 2018, permits will be required to gain access to the Peekamoose Blue Hole on weekends and holidays. In the last handful of years, New York's spectacular blue hole has become an increasingly popular place to visit and cool off during the summer. Unfortunately, not all visitors of the blue hole have been respectful, leaving trash and crowding up the area over the years. Due to the increase in visitors, the new permit rule has been enforced for the first time this year. So if you do decide to visit this place, be mindful of your surroundings, always follow the carry-in, carry-out rule, and grab a permit from
