Previously here at Only In New York, we reminded our readers that there are some amazing field trips within the Empire State that we all took as kids that are absolutely worth revisiting today as adults. While the idea of visiting a museum may not excite everyone, there’s one museum out in Steuben County that will absolutely get you excited enough to get up out of your chair and make the drive out to this place. If you’re ready to enjoy a one-of-a-kind museum where you can get hands-on and make your own creations, then see what it’s like to visit the Corning Museum of Glass.
Out in a secluded area of New York that people often overlook, it's time you set your sights on the Corning Museum of Glass.
Not only does the museum showcase glass creations that have already been made, all throughout the year visitors of the museum can come and watch daily Hot Glass Demonstrations in the amphitheater.
Aside from watching the experts, you can also actually sign yourself up for Make-Your-Own Glass classes where you'll spend roughly a half-hour making things like picture frames, necklace pendants, night lights, and other glass sculptures!
As you continue on throughout the museum, you can choose to either make your own way to join a group tour where you'll get an in-depth look at all at that Corning Museum of Glass features over the course of two and a half hours.
An intriguing destination that the entire family can enjoy, kids 17-years-old and under get free entry to the museum, while it'll cost adults $20 dollars and local residents only $10 dollars.
