She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). It can be hard to find motivation to get out and hit the trails. You know it’s good for you, but sometimes, an afternoon on the couch with Netflix just sounds like more fun. One trail that is most definitely worth the effort is Mount Beacon Park’s red trail. This is not an easy trail: it’s a nearly 4-mile out-and-back trail with over 1,300 feet in elevation gain. But the amazing views make this one of the best hikes in New York. The Empire State has incredible natural beauty and extensive history: this stunning trail will show you both!
