There’s a great movie called Nobody’s Fool that came out in 1994. It had an all-star cast and it was nominated for quite a few major awards including two Oscars. It was based on the 1933 novel of the same name by Richard Russo. It’s a comedy about a stubborn old man named Donald “Sully” Sullivan who reflects on his independent lifestyle as he begins to realize that relationships with others are important. Maybe you saw it back then, but even if you did, you might not realize that most of it was shot in upstate New York – much of it in Beacon, but in other nearby places, too. Read on to learn more about this movie filmed in Beacon, New York.
Nobody’s Fool is an excellent and fun movie with an excellent cast. If you haven’t seen it before, you should check it out! Plus, it’s always fun to see places you might recognize in Hollywood films. Enjoy!
