One of my favorite things to do for you guys is to discover new restaurants that you’ve yet to visit or have maybe never even heard of. While it’s always nice to find the perfect place where you can get a delicious home cooked meal, sometimes we just need to bite into something that will please our sweet tooth. It may be easy to run into a nearby convenient store and grab a quick bar of chocolate, but this one massive candy store in New York will make you feel like a kid again.
A family owned business since 1937, Economy Candy of New York City's Lower East Side is your sweet tooth's paradise.
Opened by the current owner's father, Jerry Cohen now keeps the family business going while running the store with his wife and son! The store started off as a typical candy store, now remaining the local neighborhood shop.
How to get here: 108 Rivington Street New York, New York 10002
Once you enter the candy shop, you'll instantly be swimming in colorful treats.
One of the reasons why this store has managed to maintain such a long history of loyal customers is that they're always providing visitors with such a huge and nostalgic variety of products.
Live too far away or just feeling too eager to enjoy some candy, you can shop their store online! They've even made things easier for you by having a section of their site where they have all of their candy stored by color.
