The state of New York may be growing more and more acquainted with Nor’easters, but believe it or not – spring is right around the corner! With warmer weather approaching on the horizon, now is a great time to start planning out a day trip for the first fully warm day that you get. Taking you out to Western New York, keep scrolling to discover another little piece of paradise.
Just one of the many outdoor attractions that make us love Erie County, Akron Falls State Park deserves to be crossed off of your bucket list.
But when you're done checking out places like the magical playground that has its own Cinderella Pumpkin Carriage and the enchanting Rock Garden, there's one more spot that you'll need to see for yourself.
That's right, this place stays open all year long. During the winter visitors can go ice skating on a natural ice rink along Murder Creek or take a snowshoeing adventure through the park. While once it's warmer out you'll find people coming to check out this state park so that they can see one of New York's many waterfalls, go hiking and break out their cameras to capture some truly breathtaking scenery and local wildlife.
