It’s not often that we get to enjoy the best of both worlds, so when we do it makes for an even more magical experience. One place where you can experience something like this though is at Beginnings – a one-of-a-kind restaurant that not too many New Yorkers have the luxury of knowing about. From the outside, this restaurant may just look like another ordinary place to eat in the Empire State but as soon as you step foot through their doors you’ll realize you’ve discovered something special.
Outwardly you'd never be able to tell that Beginnings is nothing more than your average but wonderful small town restaurant, but we're here to tell you that this place offers more than just a culinary experience.
Step inside this quaint eatery and you'll see that the owners of Beginnings have combined both their love for food and literature into one destination for New Yorkers to enjoy as well.
The restaurant and bar are lined with bookshelves that are stocked with the owners' favorite literary gems and even famous film scripts, many of which came right from their home.
On top of all the actual books that you'll find here, you'll see other ways that the restaurant pays home to literature. Just take a look at the frames above the windows that feature the faces of some of your favorite authors.
From the little library that makes up Beginnings to the hand-crafted wood tables that you'll dine at, there's a lot of character that fills this small space.
Beginnings has also been known to gain attention with their famous Taste of Literature, Cinema, and Television nights where they offer themed events where you can enjoy five courses and cocktails that are all based on your favorite books, movies, and TV shows.
If you've never checked out any of their events, you can expect to see themed events and trivia nights for things like The Godfather, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Disney movies, and so, so much more.
