Inside New York, you can find a variety of amusement parks that exist within every region of our state. Some of our parks will cater more towards our younger residents, while others will provide adults with the thrills that they’ve been searching for. If you’re ready to discover a park though that will be able to keep your whole family entertained, then luckily for you, New York’s Legoland has finally unveiled its official opening date and now’s the time to start planning your trip down to the Hudson Valley.
After years of anticipation, Legoland New York is finally set to open on July 4th, 2020.
The Legoland New York Resort will be the first Legoland theme park to hit the Northeast, coming to the town of Goshen that's only 70-miles north of New York City.
While the park's first operating year won't begin until the Fourth of July in 2020, you can expect the Legoland New York Resort to be up and running each year after that from April 1st through November.
The park is broken up into different areas and themes, with the Lego Pirates region that has a splash battle area where you can navigate pirate-infested waters with cannons, rogue riders, an anchor’s away ride where you’ll spin all around, and other ship-themed adventures.
Within Legoland New York you'll also find areas like the Lego Castle where you'll be riding dragon roller coasters and Merlin’s flying machines, enjoying tower climbing tournaments, a builders guild, and yes, even royal stables.
That's not all though! There's also Lego City where you'll find a fire academy where you can fight blazes with water cannons, a driving school, and even a 4D cinema where you can watch the latest blockbuster movies.
While Lego Ninjago World will send you on a journey through the Monastery to learn from Master Wu, Bricktopia will have you playing with a robotics center and riding the Duplo Express miniature train, and Brick Street where you'll find the Big Shop - the largest selection of lego toys to exist under one roof.
The fun doesn't stop just there though, this is afterall, a Legoland Resort. Legoland New York will also have a 250-room hotel that will remain all year long.
If all of this sounds like something your New York family would love to enjoy, then start planning your trip to Legoland New York now before the secret's out!
