Recently, as New Yorkers we’ve found ourselves more commonly wondering if our favorite attractions and go-to destinations are still up and running, with the latest COVID-19 pandemic forcing many businesses to temporarily or permanently close down. With each region of the Empire State entering its own opening phase and not everything currently ready to open up to the public, we’re keeping an eye out here at Only In New York as to what’s available to keep you busy. Well, thankfully now that the weather is warming up, we couldn’t be happier to hear that this one business on the river is officially open for 2020. Take a look!
Down in Sullivan County where you're right along the riverfront, Lander's River Trips is officially open for 2020 and also happens to be celebrating their 65th year of business!
Taking you out onto the Delaware River, Lander's River Trips features tubing, rafting, kayaking, and canoeing adventures that will remind you of all the reasons why you love to visit the Catskill Mountains.
Tubers can schedule a 5-mile trip from Skinners Falls to Narrowsburg, where a full day of floating on the river will last you about 5-hours - an experience you'll seriously want to gather all your friends and family for.
Last but not least, how could you deny the fun of rafting? The rafts at Lander's River Trips can fit anywhere from 5 to 7 people, with trips lasting anywhere from 2 1/2 to 5-hours long.
With not one but three campgrounds that they also happen to run along the river, you'll have a hard time finding a better camping and river adventuring duo in this area of New York.
