As New York remains tough through COVID-19 and our regions begin to further move through the opening phases of the pandemic, more and more of our favorite attractions and restaurants are beginning to open up. After shutting their doors for the last several months, one of our favorite places is finally gearing to open up for our residents once again and we couldn’t be more excited. If you’re ready to take on some of our area’s most delicious dishes, then it’s time to see what’s coming out of the kitchen at Illusive Restaurant & Bar!
Not far from the banks of the Hudson River where you're just a stone's throw away from New York State's Capital, Illusive Restaurant & Bar is finally ready to once again open its restaurant to hungry residents of the 518.
Opening up back in 2018, Illusive Restaurant resides at the bottom of a dead-end road and usually isn't a place that you'll stumble upon - so don't feel too surprised if this is your first time hearing about this place!
Now that you know where you're headed in Rennsalaer, let us tell you what to expect when it comes to Illusive's menu, especially now that they're getting ready to open back up! First up, take a look at The Remington Tower, consisting of flash fried chicken, candy bacon, New York cheddar, southern sausage gravy, and an over easy egg, all tucked between two buttermilk biscuits. How delicious does that sound?
While the menu at Illusive has always consisted of a variety of traditional American dishes, the restaurant is always coming up with new takes on classics like burgers. If you're wondering what this amazing creation is, it's the Frank's n Beans Burger - where you'll get a half-pound burger with caramelized beans, a seared hot dog, monterey jack cheese, greens, house sauce, and Cajun dusted flat fries.
