You may remember that last year we took you on a delicious adventure when we created our own Ice Cream Trail that takes you through the Adirondack Mountains. But if you’re heading up north and only have time to stop at one destination, there’s a spot on our trail that you simply can’t miss out on tasting for yourself. Well worth the wait, come and see why people from all over are waiting in line to try Martha’s Dandee Creme.
Located just outside of the village of Lake George in Queensbury, Martha's Danee Creme has been a local landmark for over 70 years.
Right off of Route 9, Martha's is right across the street from the Great Escape and quite easy to stumble upon.
Aside from the large Rooster perched out front that pays homage to the famous rooster Charlie who once roamed around the property and greeted visitors, Martha's is easy to notice due to all the cars and crowds that are always out front.
During the summertime, Martha's is most popular with both locals and tourists alike flocking here to get their daily sweet tooth fix.
And you'll even find long lines outside of Martha's in the winter when people are bundled up and surrounded by the snow - this is place is that good.
But why exactly are so many people obsessed with this small town ice cream parlor? Well, the proof is in the pudding - or should I say ice cream.
Aside from the friendly faces that are always here to welcome you at their windows, the ice cream at Martha's is made fresh every day and tastes downright delightful.
